Michelin North America, Inc. Selects Spartanburg for New Plant

Michelin North America selected Spartanburg County for its new $270 million, 3.3 million square-foot distribution center. The company plans to break ground later this year. The new distribution center will support the distribution of tires under Michelin, BFGoodwrich and Uniroyal brands for passenger vehicles, heavy trucks and agricultural equipment.

Michelin’s new center will be located near the intersection of Highways 101 and 417. Its location is a short distance from seven existing Michelin tire plants throughout the Upstate.
