“The commitment of Wyman-Gordon to put its newest manufacturing campus in Dillon County is a tremendous blessing to both our area and for our state. In competition with North Carolina, Texas, and other states, this location was able to present the most attractive package of workforce, site readiness, infrastructure and partnership. The combination of traditional and resourceful incentives were used to attract Wyman-Gordon including Marlboro Electric Cooperative’s use of Santee Cooper’s loan program to build a speculative building. We could not have achieved this win without the combined resources of our partners — Santee Cooper, Central Electric Power Cooperative, the SC Power Team, and our allies NESA and the SC Department of Commerce.”

— William Fleming, CEO
Marlboro Electric Cooperative

“Our new facility will be located in the center of a rapidly growing aerospace sector with easy access to highways, ports, and, most importantly, many of our customers.”

— Greg Paolini, VP and General Manager
Wyman-Gordon, a Precision Castparts Corp. company

“It’s great to not only see such a high number of great jobs being added to the region, but to see our region as a part of one of the world’s most important industry clusters – the southeastern United States aerospace cluster — is even more significant.”

— The Honorable Yancey McGill, Lieutenant Governor of S.C.; Executive Committee Chairman, North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA)
